Title: DAS/Dalaa owners
Post by: Bill Carlsen on January 15, 2013, 12:29:00 PM
I recently called 3Rivers trying to obtain the rubber limb cushions that go under the limb butt where the limb and riser are connected. To get them I would have to spend $50 for a set of new metal limb pad assemblies with the thumb bolts. All I need is the rubber cushions. I understand that it is a "special" rubber so I thought I would ask if any of you had to replace the pads and how you did it. I have a call in to Dale Karsch of 3Rivers but have not heard back from him yet. Their customer service dept. was unwilling to even tell me where to get the rubber or what kind it was so I could make my own. Bottom line for them is that the rubber pads are only available in the expensive kit.

I've had DAS bows and a Dalaa or two in the past and I kinda thought the same thing... Eventually some of this stuff will need to be replaced.

I don't see where they sell the individual parts either.  But, maybe buy the whole kit and replace everything.  Then keep your old parts as a spare if something else needs repair in the mean time...  I would think every few years the rubber will need replacing.  Just maintenance on that bow I guess...

Bill,

Can you take some pictures of the interface you are describing and send them to mzirnsak@inistek.com

I'm a M.E. at a military fabrication company, and our rubber and foam sheet inventory is plentiful and wide ranging.

I can set you up, as long as I can interpret the design intent of the rubber / foam material.

Talk to someone else at 3R about it They should have the pads.  When I bought my DAS bows from David Soza you could buy all the parts to repair it including the rubber pads. I bought some but have not yet needed them as the old pads seem to be holding up fine.  [5 years]

Matt: I will do that....really appreciate it.

Thumper...both my bow and Laura's were right off of Dave's first and second run of risers. I think that was in '04 or '05 so the pads are 7 or 8 years old. I am waiting for a return call from Dale Karsch.
