It is a Chimera, with the XLT lamination,B&W Ebony, and has a chert rock arrowhead inlayed by Jim into the riser. 51@28. rat'
And a sweetheart it is!
Cocobolo riser with Yew limbs. One of my favorite combo's.

Riverrat 2, that is gorgeous!!!
Ryan
I like alot!!!! Wish Jim could put overlays on the face and back.
Guess I will go with the glass.
Thanks guys. Mark,I bet it will look great with the glass. I always thought one in glass, with a 50/50 mix of B&W Ebony, and Macasser Ebony would look killer. Just get some woods with alot of grain activity. Maybe a bone/antler overlay/ tips. AHHH HECK! here we go again!! :banghead:
Brill, keep them coming. B/W 5050 mix with Macasser Ebony sounds nice.
I've a lng time though to keep changing my mind !!!
60" 52@28" Dark Matter takedown

Lovely. John, what is the wood on the belly limb and what is the snakeskin?
This wait for mine if going to feel like a lifetime.
Bill, how do you find the take down system. Is it easy to put together?
I'm in the UK you see (and female!)and rather have a 1 piece but I know the take down would be handier for Jim to ship.
WOW! I can see why there is a long wait on them.Nice looking bows. How do they shoot?
They shoot just like they look.
Jim is the man! :notworthy:
If I ever get another,I will get a Dark Matter risered bow. I really like the extra mass weight that it offers.
I'm sold on the Dark Matter as well.
Bill
I got a spot on Jim's list, looking forward to the Dark Matter takedown. If I can figure out Photobucket I will post a picture of my 2 pc hinge takedown.
Here is my 2 pc, charcoal dymondwood, purpleheart and osage.

The belly wood is "Olive Ash Burl" and it is on my Chimera, the skin on that bow is not shown and is Parrie Rattler. The skins shown on the Triple Carbon are Cotton Mouth Moccasin.

The takedown system is very easy to put together. A pretty slick design !!!!
Bill
Larry, Another beauty, I was hoping you would chime in.
ALDO
Here are a couple of my beauties, I have to say though, I love my 56" Chimera (green one) over my 58" triple carbon

Wow, look at the green ones !
I see most of them a chimera and carbon. Can I ask why over the glass?
I really like the wood look and so I'm thinking of glass with the xtl option but as I have a very short draw and pull quite a weak poundage. I'm worried now it wont be enough - I live in the UK and won't be shooting any live game.
Anyone in the UK with a Centaur i wonder?
give Jim a call, I'm pretty sure he only draws like 25 or 26". He'll steer you in the right direction.
Larry is right. Jim only draws 25"
Bill
I've shot about a dozen Centaurs, and not a slouch in the bunch.
I only have one Centaur pic, and it's not even mine :)

Someday I'll stumble across a 62" 70# Dark Matter for sale... and I won't hesitate for a second!
Thom
I remember that day ol'Thom. That was fun,and as you guys can see, that was target number 222. We were sure glad when number 400 came around so we could call it a day! Whew!. :smileystooges: (just joshin' fellas'.) rat'
Stunning bows for sure !
