Somewhere here on TG it was mentioned that someone was using the single bevel accu-sharp sharpener (I think it was sold at hardware stores for mower blades).  They said it worked really well. . .

It was a discussion about grizzly sharpening- in the last year. . ???

I had posted earlier that I purchased a single bevel sharpener from Ace Hardware (their brand) that is very similar to the Accu-Sharp but is made for single bevel instruments such as scissors.  It also has another built-in set of blades for double bevels and a ceramic stick.  Worked great on my new single bevel Grizzlys.  Six swipes and then finish off with the ceramic stick.  I also used it to sharpen my Randall knife back up after field dressing half my elk this year.  It couldn't have been any easier to use and will always be in my hunting pack.

If your talking about the ones from Alaskan the answer is yes. I can get them to shave with out much work. The trick is to keep the blade level and straight up as well. Light pressure only. If you really want to get it hair popping, follow with a strop.
