Post by: Biggamefish on January 13, 2013, 03:06:00 PM
THis is my first try at making wood arrows.  I think I am hooked now to save and buy and arrow cutter or burner.  Lol  These are made for a christmas present coming in feb.

Tsalt None of the above really.  I bought arrow wraps and cut them down.  This was my very first try at making any kind of woods arrows.  I wanted to make multi color vanes but I bought pre-cut and was advised to wait till I got fulle fletchings.
I think this is a long road to a new hobby lol.  I already want an arrow cutter/burner. Then I guess I will probably be buying the paint etc.  My wife will kill me to bring more stuff into the house but she will understand lol.

Sweet!  I have a test pack of Sherwood shafts that I got for Christmas.  I'm about to make my first set.  I hope they look half as good as yours.

Nice.

I've always wanted to build my own.  Yours are a great inspiration and motivation.

Nice job!  And yes, your wife will kill you if you bring a feather burner in the house!!!  Only do outside downwind from the house (I did some on the back deck one time and a window was open and I heard a "what's buring yell from inside the house"). It was one of those momentary lapses in hunting skill and I wasn't paying attention to the wind.          :nono:
