Looks to me like a left over from some sort of wagon trail maybe?

It the wagon trians trials . You can walk it for miles , and find barrel rings the trash they left behind . Will have to go back and take more pic .
But the cool thing is that I'm a lineman for the power co in Mesa and found these doing line work in the hills about 20 yrs ago . And you have to walk to see them so not alot of people out there ?

That's interesting, I've never seen a wagon trail before.  I would have thought they had all washed away or were just gone by now, thanks!

Just think of how hard the travels were for those first settlers.  That's why us traditional bow hunters need to continue the legacy of the 'harder way'.

Very cool and thank you for that pic. I can picture the wagon train forming a circle preparing for a nights stay already. The men with their guns setting up a perimeter and the children playing in the center, un-aware of the immenint dangers the desert night provides. All the women cooking salted and dried meats with, wheat slop boiling.  Oh so cool.

Aliens thats the indentation from the landing gear on the mother ship. Be very careful you wouldnt want to get probed.

Cool find. I like to walk and just go snooping, especially when carrying my bow and a few stumping arrows. Amazing what's out there.

No pictures but the property I hunt has a hi-way marker saying it is the old Oregon trail.

Always thought it added a bit of mo-jo to the hunt

Aha!

"Between Picketpost Mountain and the town of Superior, along the south side of route 60, are the remains of Pinal City, the mill town for the Silver King Mine.  Pinal City was sited near Picketpost Mountain on the banks of Queen Creek, a permanent source of water.  The wagons that carried ore from the Silver King Mine carved deep tracks into the soft, easily eroded tuff."

Besides other animals/game, I have found remnants from prior homesteaders, whiskey stills, and potting soil surrounded by chicken wire in the middle of a forest.

The pony express trail still has waiting shacks along it as it crosses Nevada.  The desert is full of surprises.

Went moose huunting in Alaska and while we were hunting we found an old cache that had fallen down. It had a roof on it that kept a bunch of stuff covered. We found a outdoor magazine that was raffling a Station Wagon, Boat, Motor and Trailer with a rod, reel and a tackle box full of lures. Total cash value $9,000 for the whole shootin match. Was from the 50's. Also found an old cabin site from the 40's. The foundation logs were still discernable but that was it. We did find stumps from the logs they cut. Amazing history!

A LOT of the most remote Montana mountain peaks and ridges have old mine claim markers...and you thought you were the only one around.

I found a pioneer gravesite along the Oregon Trail near Independence Rock in Wyoming. That same area was used for aerial gunnery practice during WW2, and I have found numerous 50 cal casings in the nearby hills/rocks.
Not far from where Longbowray's wagon ruts are, there is an old cemetery where Mattie Earp, Wyatt's wife/girlfriend, is buried. Lots of neat stuff when you get out and wander around, bow in hand.

I found a mammoth skull in Alaska once and some ivory. I have some of the ivory, but the skull is right where I found it.

Rufus, that is a very cool find! And I thought finding the foundation to a house from before the reservoir was put in was kinda cool.  "[dntthnk]"

Another tale, my wife and I found a little knoll in a canyon in S. central NM where here daddy used to live that had several Native American graves on it. I don't know spirits real or not but both of us got spooked, the hair stood up on the back of our necks. We said a little bless you and excuse us prayer and got the hell out of there. Never went back either. Some places best just be walked around methinks.
