I just discovered that Belleville/Tactical Research has released a boot called the "Mini-Mil"--a 'minimalist' combat/tactical type boot with a thinner/flexible minimalist type sole with only a 5mm heel drop. Comes in black, desert tan, AND prolly the one I'll get-- olive drab! Definitely planning on trying a pair for stalking. Bet they'll be a nice modern alternative to moccasins etc. Coolness!
For warm weather flatlanders, I expect the boot would serve the purpose well. In cooler, wetter, and more mountainous rocky terrain, I would probably opt for a boot with more support and protection.
The cost seems reasonable and their extremely light weight is a positive. I would'nt mind trying a pair under some of my late summer/early fall excursions.
yeah, i'm a flatlander :) I agree, likely wouldn't use this in real rough terrain, wouldn't want to break something. but for regular type woods above 32 degrees (long as you wore some thick socks), 'silent' death all the way! LOL
I looked them up.They look pretty good to me.
Sounds like they would work well in Georgia.
