All of you wood shooting advocates should have informed the rest of us how addictive wood is. I made the decision to start shooting wood recently and i can't get enough of it. If I'm not shooting them i want to be building them. Help me. I can't stop.
Ha! Ha! I could see myself building wood arrows even if I didn't do archery! :bigsmyl:
Call the CDC! It's a epidemic!
There are no vaccinations or professional help to get you over this addiction.I speak from experience.
Addicted to building wood arrows? Nah....I can quit anytime.
it's a natural progression, next you'll be shooting selfbows
Welcome to your newest addiction.....there is no cure!
Sounds like we need a addiction group--Woodies Anonymous...LOL
Don't fight it...be happy! "Wood is Good"
I've been at it about three weeks and having a ball!
It hurts so bad when you lose one before its time! If they break that's well bad but at least it died a dignified death.
But to lose one , thats just hard to handle!
I was told don't fall in love with your arrows.
Well I say, if LOVING them is wrong I Don't want to be Right!!!
Lol
Yeah that was cheesy but true :bigsmyl:
yep! I love wood arrows. I build WAY more than i could ever use. My wife thinks i have a mental deficit, which may be true, but still....... I LOVE wood arrows.
I've been bitten by the wood arrow bug as well. Just got a bunch of SureWood Shafts, and I'm so stunned with the quality and beauty of wood arrows I'm going to scoop up 100. Got my spine tester built and calibrated, got the grain scale working, got arrow sets matched. Now I think it's time for a breast tapering jig, and a crester. Both will need to be homemade because I wanna waste my money on arrows not tools.
Yeah, and it just keeps on getting better. I suggest you stick to the basics as you learn to build them. The shaft is the heart of the arrow. Focus there and on attention to the details. Many of us like fancy arrows and they look great, but it doesn't make them shoot any better. Enjoy the journey!
Ready to pick up my annual supply of ash at Kazoo in a couple of weeks and a new NM Classic. Will I see you there Rick?
I agree with what Fletcher said....but nothing wrong with fancying up that great flying arrow!
Shooting your bow every day isn't normal...but on wood it is.
I hope so, Bruce. We have our reservations and plan to head up on Friday. See ya there.
