Found this Ole girl waiting for me when i got home this evening, 1950's 64" 55 @ 28 York Crescent recurve. I was like a kid at Christmas opening the box to find this wonderful old classic. I done some research and found that a 7" brace height is what was called for, and im tellin ya folks, once set up, it is a great performing piece of our archery history to shoot.
Our turkey season is a little ways off yet, but Ole Tom better beware !, this old York might be just over the next ridge hiding in wait for that one shot. (http://%20 [/IMG]
Very nice :)
Nice Bow Mole
I think i love these old bows because there kinda like me. There gittin old, they aint in perfect shape, they cant keep up with the young'ins, but they still got what it takes to get it done.
Never underestimate an old timer! :biglaugh:
Moleman, Great bow good luck, and keep old school alive :archer2:
Nice bow mole man, saw that one as well. I like those real 50s bows, nothing like shooting a 50-60 year old bow. I'm waiting on a Drake I scored this week, never had the chance to see one in person but I just had to pull the trigger.
Classic.
