Any idea how long the waiting list is for a new one? I really like them sparrowhawks in dirty boo! Getting close to going for it I tried to call today and email no response Vince must be on vacation.
-
Send him an email. He will get back to you in a day or so.
-
Email x2, always got back to me pretty quick. Can't speak to the wait time now but the four I've ordered over the years have been between 5 to 7 weeks.
Pull the trigger, you won't regret it!

What specs are you looking for? I actually have a sparrowhawk that I need to sell. Bought it right before I hurt my shoulder and dropped in weight. It's 66" and 50# at 28".

I probably will too. I'm finally committing to the left side. Sold my 66" 45# Sparrowhawk and would like to order either a 66" or 68" 2-piece left-hander about the same weight. I'm just trying to make up my mind on the limb veneers.

imho, the cane cored sparrowhawk is one helluva performing mild r/d longbow. i'm glad vince was open to my concept of this design, and he made the words into reality. after trialing the first proto i knew it was a winner, at least for me. mine is 64" and digitally scales about 54# @ 29".

Rob, that is nice. What are all the woods? I like that combo between the limbs and riser woods.
-
the cores and veneers are stained cane (darker on the back than the belly), the riser is cocobolo with black micarta pin stripes, all the riser and limb overlays are cocobolo. the coco shows up lighter, brighter and redder when hit with a camera flash - it's normally lots darker.

Just put my order in last week for a new Sparrowhawk myself. 64" gonna be around 64@28".
Think I am going Bamboo core with Bocote or dark yew vaneer's and Cocobolo riser with Osage accent stripe and limb tips. Work it all out when Vince calls and he is ready to start. Vince is a great guy to talk with.

I have one.....love it...want another....love it....smooth, quiet, dead in the hand...and I love it...oh, already said that twice :D

Beautiful Bow Rob! Got pix of the tips?

Great to hear Terry I have had tons of bows over the years. I started out with a 64" Bamboo Longhunter had Hill's, Schulz, Robertsons, Elburgs, Loftons, built tons of self bows from Hickory, Black Locust, Osage etc. Killed ton's of critters with all then life took over two sons playing three sports. Didn't kill a deer or hunt much for five years other than taking them until last year. This fall I hunted quite a bit my oldest stole my Black Widow we shot all summer He killed a doe I killed doe and fork horn. I have the fever again thanks to my son. Shoulder issues and desire for a new longbow put me on the search that helped me find the Mohawk. Can't wait.

vince puts overlays on both sides of the limb tips (and the riser, too).
