I really love my longbows, but this Super Kodiak is just an awesome shooter! the more i tinker with it, the more i appreciate this great design. Theres no doubt that i will never be a complete convert, but i think i see a little more of this Super K. in my shooting and hunting future.
Who else out there is shooting Super Kodiaks? :campfire:
First and only trad bow I've owned. Any pics or details of your set up?
I believe it to be an 80's model, 60 lbs @ 28 , its not as classy as the older models, but a great shooter non the less. (http://%20 [/IMG]
Sometimes I wish that I only had one bow! I love shooting my Spirit longbow by Bryan Holley, then I get out my '69 Bear Super Kodiak and I think this is the best bow out there. Pretty tough to find a more pleasant bow to shoot than the SK. :dunno:

Moleman I am with you there. I am 99% all longbow but the super k I had was sweet. I have shot alot of recurves to see if I liked them and in my mind there is no recurve out there as classy as the Super k. That and I could actually shoot that one. The other cuves just didn't cut it
I have a 72 super k and love it ! I to think its one of the best recurves ever made .

I've sold and traded to the point that all but 2 of my bows are Hill style and I'm bordering on a fetish with Timberlines,but....
I have a little 50"48# Browning Cobra 1 recurve,that I can't get rid of. It's just a really sweet shooter.Not a super K,but just as far away from a Hill longbow.

The more you shoot it the more you realise how well it makes your shooting look. Piked up a Grayling Green 2012 Super Kodiak and it is "SUPER". I discovered how well the Super Kodiak shoots.

The new 2012's are looking really sharp guys! Makes it almost impossible to get caught up in one style of bow, with all the great shooters out there.
The SK's have always been great shooting bows for me!
68 SK 48# at 28" SWEET SHOOTER
I'm purty much 100% longbows for the last several years but a couple recurves still get me goin'. A 64" Green Super K or a 50's style Ghost.
Some day...

I'm from the same mold. Never will get away from my long bows, but I do like shooting a nice recurve once in a while. I'm always looking for good deals on Bear recurves. That 70"s super grizzly I just bought shoots pre  tty nice.A SK is next.
Paul, come on over to the darkside, RC is where it is at! Looking forward to seeing you at the KY Tradfest buddy!
