Our deer are wired tight after 37 days of guns.
This happened twice last week, its costin me in arrows!!
They are reacting violently at the shot and turning away after ducking the arrow and running over it and breaking it off!! :knothead:

Need to get a second arrow loaded quick.
Some women are just plain mean.
You need to bait with molasses coated Valium...LOL
Been there done that, looks like pics from my stands.

On my last deer of the season (last week of Dec.), the exit hole was HIGHER than the entrance. My rifle hunting buddy couldn't understand why until I demonstrated (as best I could) how the deer was ducking and turning at the same time. Don't feel too bad KennyM...that one was the SECOND deer I shot at that afternoon. You should have seen how bad the FIRST one reacted! :scared: Makes you wonder sometimes how in the world you ever get an arrow into one of 'em!
That's a sad sight.

I swear this year I had one see my arrow out of the corner of her eye and go into Matrix mode and push back and away from the arrow with it just missing her brisket. A lot of emotion in that half second - from I got her to that is amazing. Course carbon don't break so easy. :D
Kenny it's called "REVENGE"brother! Their way of getting back at us..Some will even attemt to step out in front of you while driving 50 miles an hour
keep after it Kenny, usually takes them a bit to settle down here as well.
Look at all the fun your having. At least your seeing deer.

Actually I like makin arrows. Would rather they break em off on brush as they run off tho.
It does make you rethink your equipment and wonder what is makin noise. I've even thought of an elevated rest and plastic(gulp) vanes.....
That's why I like to fill the freezer EARLY in the season.
:wavey:
SOUNDS LIKE THE DEER IN SOUTH TEXAS, VERY VERY VERY WIRED AND THEY CAN DIRECTIONS FASTER THEN A POLITICIAN IN A ELECTION RACE :biglaugh:
That shows you're smarter than me Charlie!! :)
I need to start sooner I reckon!I had plenty of chances early, love huntin these late season deer tho. :bigsmyl:
I've had a bad cold the last two weeks and haven't been out. Nasty cough!!
I'm going to try to get out next week and see what I can do. Deer don't seem to hear my Hill style at all. Not that it won't make em jump.
A big mature doe is a harder quarry than a buck a lot of times. They can be downright mean.
like altiman94 said they sometimes are just plain hard to get a shot at,i have been picked off by them big mamas in the tree manytimes THERE WISE!!
