hello all,i'am new in this forum and i'm french.i'm ready to buy a Black Widow PLGA 2007 59@28 and my draw is 27.i would like to know yours impressions and the performance on this bow (positive or negative) before i take it.thank you
its hard to find a better shootong longbow in my opinion, i have had several PL's and i love the grip and mass weight of the bow, its not the fastest bow on the market but it is VERY stable !! the PLGA is iceing on the cake !! i love that osage .. wish i could find one in my specs...
I bought the same bow new from BW, in the same weight, which I eventually sold. I sold it because 59# is getting a little heavy for me in my old age, and I like to do my hunting with a recurve. I still like to shoot lighter-weight longbows in longbow competitions.
The bow is about as extreme a reflex/deflex design as is possible and still call it a longbow. Because of this, the performance is quite good, if non-traditional for a longbow. Mine was noisy for a longbow, but about on-par for BW's in general. It is well constructed and beautiful, except for the imitation alligator grip, which I never really came to like.
I have a Black Widow PLX 64" and it is a fine shooting longbow.It is quiet,no handshock,I like the grip,it has become one of my favorite longbows to shoot.It handles a good variety of arrows,spines and weights of arrows.I have nothing negative to say about them.But everyone has a different opinion about bows they like,can be more of a personal choice.I have shot many different longbows and this shoots as good if not better then most of the other longbows I've shot.I don't think you can go wrong with a Black Widow PLGA.Black Widows are an excellent quality built bow,great customer service and they have been around since I think 1957.
My PLGA has been one of the finest shooting longbows that I have own and that is saying a lot! I don't see how you would be dissapointed with one.

I like my PL quite a bit, and so do a lot of other people!
I would recommend checking the Black Widow website to see what length bow they recommend for your draw length. And then I'd follow their recommendations!
I have mixed emotions on the PLGA. I have owned 2 and shot them side by side quite abit. One was an absolute rockstar of a shooter and the other was the complete opposite. Same length and 1 pound diff in weight. So yes they can be awesome bows!
The minimum draw to 64 '' is 27. I think I'll buy it... I shoot with and find comfortable.

actually its beaver tail, but its one thing i always liked,
Actually, mine was one of the first ones made and came with an imitation alligator grip. I would have preferred a beaver tail, maybe in retrospect should have asked for it, but at the time I thought it was more important to keep the bow truly "stock."
I have one that I bought new from Black Widow.
It is a fine bow that is very quiet, smooth with no shock and shoots where I look.
It is 54#'s at 28" and bareshafts a 31 " 2117 dead straight into the target.
As said it is not the fastest longbow but it sure is smooth.
Mine has a beavertail grip.
