Do these two have any pros or cons for either.

archrmn,

I put a comprable thread on TG a few weeks ago w/the same question.  Got some pretty decent info.  Looks like the GT's are liked, though it appears the Bemans were liked just a little more!  Good Luck.  I think I'm going to stay w/my GTs, and shoot the ilumanocks w/them.

I've never shot the GT's, but I've been shooting the Beemans for a year. I have been very impressed. I was shooting in my basement tonight, and made a low shot that missed the target. The target was resting on top of an old piece of steel office furniture.  The shaft punched a hole in the steel, without damage. The only way I've broken a shaft was to hit it with another.

I'm shooting Beeman trad 500's with 100 grain insert and 200 grain head. 620 grain total weight. 53# recurve.  Good luck.

Gold Tips get a lot of bad press that they do not deserve. Both are very good shafts, as is the Carbon Express Heritage.

Carbon Express for me. I believe the CE and Bemans are heavier. I do like the slim tech though, it really makes the Bemans tough.

I use both the GT and the Beemans all the time. The Beemans are tougher by far, they also cost more. I cannot say that this is a quality issue the smaller diameter of the Beemand I think makes it stronger.

I shoot and have shot GT, Easton, Beman, & Carbon Express shafts.  I can't shoot GT 35/55 with broadheads, because they are too short for my draw length.  To me which shaft is the toughest is a non issue.  I've torn up very few carbon shafts and the few that I have probably would'nt have been saved had they been a different brand.  One thing that usually comes into play when I am trying to find the "right" arrow for a particular bow is the arrow weight.  Unless you want to use weight tubes this may be a factor in deciding on a brand.

I shoot both and have a habit of finding the metal plate in the Rinehart targets.  The GT's shatter at the knock, doesn't phase the Bemans.  But the GT's shoot better out of my setup.
