All summer and fall I searched high and low for my old Wood Pecker hand drill so I could use the treestand bolts climbing system. It's really the only practical way I can treestand hunt in the mountainous area I like to hunt. I use the Warren Womack ALICE pack / light weight stand/ tree bolt method and have not found anything I like better. I gave up trying to find it and tried to purchase a new one but the drill was no longer being made made. I offered my brother-in-law $50 for his bent one but he wouldn't budge.
Just today I saw that EZ-Kut is making the drill again.

(BTW...I carried a climbing stand up and down the hills only to find my old hand drill after I got back from my hunting trip!)
I'm tempted to buy a new one just in case they stop making them again.

Hey,thats a pretty cool drill.Hmm,maybe a good snowday shop project.
Could you just use an old brace and bit? Seems like it would be cheaper? :dunno:
That's a great looking drill! The ez climb belt they are going to be offering looks exactly like the tree hopper I lost in ohio last year. One of those will be on the short list after they become available. Thanks for the heads up, Mike.
I would love one of those but $$.
