Title: arrow tinkering
Post by: kunsangsean on December 26, 2012, 06:07:00 PM
Can I get some opinions on which arrow would be a better choice? Looking to buy some new shafts.

To get the spine I need I'm looking at a 30 inch 1335 gtip traditional w/ 155 up front for total arrow weight of 400

Or 3555s in a 32 inch arrow with 150 up front for a total weight of 450.

This is out of a 45 lb at 29 inch recurve. Not sure if the first one is going to be too light and too short. Right now shooting a 5575 spine with a total weight of 515 (tip weight to balance spine) and it drops a little much. Thoughts?

Either would work with proper weight up front. That being said, I'd go with the 35/55s. The 35/55s would allow you more up front combos with inserts and BHs. 50gr and 100gr adapters are wonderful things when it comes to shooting carbons.
