Have used Fletch Tite,Duco and Goat Tuff and they still will not stay on. :banghead: :banghead:

Try some pipe tape for pipe threads(pluming), or get a new bag of nocks.

What's the pipe tape supposed to do?? These are glue on nocks.

Do you use acetone or solvent alcohol to clean the oils off the aluminum before gluing on the nock?
I don't know much about non-wood arrows, but I know if I don't clean the metal points they don't stay on as well.

I thought you meant they were push in nocks...LOL you can clean the inside of the nock with steel wool and take a small craft file and rough it up a little on the arrow end(roughed surface should help the glue bond tighter).Then duco or fletchtite should work for gluing.

I use fletchtite and a lot of times I have to break the nocks of. The swaged tip is already rough, no need to file it. Just clean it really well and the inside of the nock, and Fletch tite it.

I have taken sand paper and glued it onto a chop stick and sanded the inside of the nock, then used rubbing alchol to clean them out. I also sand the nock end of the arrow and use alchohol to clean off before putting the nock on. Duco the nock on W/O a problem.

Not certain the nock is the problem. When I use DUCO and twist the nock into place it seems like it melts the nock a bit. ie. . it is adhereing.
I think the swaged ends of the arrow may need some cleaning to remove residues that may cause it to not adhere well to the shaft.
Carefully look at the pieces. Do you see glue on the shaft but not inside the nock ? The other way ? That may give you the needed clues.

Make sure all the old glue is scraped off the swage, clean it up with a little fine sandpaper or steel wool and just twist the new nock on with a little fletchtite or Duco. I personally would not mess with the nock at all; never had a problem in over 50 years.

I have an idea ... Sometimes the swaged end (tip) contacts the inside of the arrow nock upon release or target impact and will cause the nock to pop off. This happened to me with dipped 2016's and 5/16" nocks... Simply file down the swaged tip a bit and BINGO! No more problem... It would be a good idea to use a transparent color nock in this application.

Been doing this for over 30 years with these arrows and this is the first dozen I ever had trouble with.
Swaged ends are always cleaned and roughed up they just do not stick to this odd batch .
Guess I will have to use some epoxy on this screwy batch. :dunno:

Mark,I used that pink adhesive from 3rivers. It is called Fletch-it archers adhesive. Good stuff buddy. I wonder if the plastic the nocks are composed of has an issue Mark. :dunno:
