Title: braceheight on Mojostik
Post by: mooshkat on December 24, 2012, 07:04:00 PM
Got a new 60" Mojostik from whisperstik bows, what are you guys running for braceheights, on his website it says 7-8"  thats quite a variance, i am at 7 3/8, carbons are noisey but woods dont sound too bad.

Mine is a shooter for sure at 7.75". I'd say it's my go to bow as no matter how long left alone it shows the love from solid anchor to twenty yards. It's got a fair amount of noise reduction stuff on it to get it quiet. I'm running 870gr arrows which works out to 9.2GPP roughly and it's still noisy to me, but others say it's quiet at arm's length away. I used PSE compound limb dampeners and monkey tails on the string. I'd recommend something else for the string. I use bowjax on most of my high energy bows and feel they are more effective. Best of luck.

I am now at 7 7/8 and there is a noticable difference in arrow flight and noise, seems it likes the higher braceheight. It also seems to really like wood arrows, especially the ones in the 60# spine range, my bow is 48@28, and i draw 27.   dave

In my experience these bows like a high brace height. I shot mine at 8" and it was very quiet. Nice bows!
