Is there such a thing as a cheap target bag that you can pull arrows from easily,and lasts a while?
Its called an old couch cushion. I take them from couches on the curb whenever I see them. Put two together and a little duct tape at the top and bottom and its good. And I also just scored 4 poly vinyl pool rafts(thick foam coated with vinyl) that I will cut and make about 6 targets out of.
Get an old soccer ball and take the air out and fill it with expanding foam.
U-Stuff it bags are relatively inexpensive. Fill it with discarded plastic bags and plastic wrappers.
Feed sacks or burlap sacks. Stuff with plastic grocery backs. Pull arrows out with 2 fingers. When they get shot up just put inside another sack.
I have had good luck with old carpet layered into a box or burlap bag.
Burlap bags. Best and cheap ones are the large coffee bags. Takes some looking to find a good source in some areas. I get them for about a buck. Better than current burlap grain bags I have found. Plastic grain bags work but don't last near as long. Stuff with a mix of old pillow stuffing, furniture stuffing, mattress padding and strips of tags. Old window screen also works. Heavy plastic works ok, but grocery bags didn't hold up very long for me or stop arrows all that well. After you shot out the bag, stuff it in the next bag.
I use chicken feed bags stuffed with fiber fill. Fill cost $3.00 at Wally World and as others have said, you can pull the arrows out with 2 fingers. Works great, lasts a long time.

Ames made/makes a "Pillow Target" which last I found was around $20.
It's 40x40, has grommets in all 4 corners and has a deer painted on each side, one in one direction, the other reversed.
Slit in top to stuff with whatever. I like Shrink wrap and after years, finally tried something new. I laid out the sheets of used shrink wrap in long pieces, and rolled them into flats...more compact target and stops all shafts dead...even my friends' daughter's crossbow bolts!
Another vote for feed bags filled with plastic grocery sacks. I start with a double layer, then when it starts getting shot up, just stuff it inside another.
