Looks like a great time to me!
Looks like fun. Heck you just gotta get out and go even though it's hot. Just dress accordingly, drink lots of water, and rest in the shade whenever you can. Looks like you guys did just that.
By the way, where is Bryant, AL? Anywhere near Wetumpka(just north of Montgomery)?
Mark
Is that a Texas Comanche Recurve I spy on the right side of the "bow tree" in the top picture?

What a great time it was too. I was having so much fun I really didn't think to much about the heat. The fellowship was cool though. :)
Looking forward to doing it again.
That little Texas Comanche is one of the last ones made. Sure am glad I ordered it when I did.
Pleasure meeting you in person John!
:wavey:
Whats that on the top rack of the grill???
MMMMMMM wings!!
Man thats a meal fit for kings!
Well did Al Chapman shoot like he normally does??? If so then there was some reeeeeeeeal good shooting going on.
There were pork shoulders on the top, wings and weenies on the bottom, and we cooked steaks over homemade coals on the other grill. Squash casserole, baked beans, mmacaroni salad, watermelon and more for sides. ;)
We broke out the flu-flu's and shot the bunny wabbit, cans, plastic bottles, a plastic one gallon milk jug for the hail mary shots, and even some aerials.

I got whooped up on by a 15 year old with a little Bear recurve. :D That Jacob (fflintlock's son) could flat out shoot a bow. I will try to post a pic of two of his first two 50 yard shots once photobucket is back up. We shot two arrows each from the 50 yard marker for the competition course set up by fflintlock.
Jacob had never shot at aerials before but he punched the center out of a high flying target.
sounds like you guys had fun and good eatin too :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Here is Jacob with his two 50 yard shots.

john
That's my boy, heheheeeeeeeee
He only won that shoot so he could get that "coon" John left, when he heard you say that, it was all over LOL!!
We did enjoy ourelves, I know Jacob and I did.
Yea, it was hot out, but when the shoot'n started I really did'nt notice so much, I was busy try'n to figure out how come I could'nt hit nut'n, but it was fun, none the less.
John did manage to hit a swing'n apple, dead center, at 20 yds. I think Al liked thump'n the wabbit more then any thing LOL!!
Can't wait to do it again guys, it was great !
Jerald
Now thats living.
