Title: Ranges Kansas City area
Post by: Al Dean on December 19, 2012, 11:50:00 AM
My son lives in Overland park.  He's 36.  I made him a longbow for Christmas.  He has never shot bows but wants to get involved in trad archery.  He needs to find out where he can shoot and also is there anyone in the KC area he might be able to get together with to shoot?  He looked over my bows and watched me shoot over Thanks giving but he is left handed and I had nothing to let him shoot.

My only advice is if he goes to a shoot around here and plans on camping out for a night or two, tell him not to sleep on his stomach. The guys shown above are always prowling around the campsite at night looking for guys that are face down. The stranger danger rule will need to be practiced around here.

Thanks guys, I have passed on your information to him.  I know he is excited to get started.  I know he is 36 but I can't see much difference from the 5 year old boy I used to take fishing.
