I obviously don't have it yet, but I'm looking for some insight on what I'll be getting... Never had a Zipper longbow even though I've wanted to try one for quite a while. I've heard nothing but good things... Thus the trade...
Throw it at me, the good or bad...
I think if it's like my Zippers you will be very, very happy!  I do know yours is way to heavy for me....LOL!
I think your going to be a happy man. Bill Dunn builds some of the best bows out there.
Bill
I would have been on that one if it was 10 lbs lighter
AWESOME !!!! I killed a pile of animals with that baby. It was my second ZIpper. You will love it.
The riser has amazing deep character, and the limbs are smoking fast.
So glad that its going to keep rockin !!

I've found a bit of info on the different models, but what are the differences of the Extreme, SXT, and the Nitro?
Man your going to have to wear a tuxedo when you shoot that piece of art.
The nitro is the best performing longbow in the zipper line ( or any longbow for that matter that i have shot). The Sxt and Ext risers are the same size riser 14" the Sxt having a less deflex riser with 1" less brace height . The extremes are the longer risers 16" and there are to models of those as well one with less brace height.
Jeff,
I think you will be very impressed, I have had a hand full of Zippers and I think they are one of the best out there. Bill Dunn knows how to build a sweet bow and he is a great guy to boot. Be sure to post your thoughts after you get to shoot it.
Agree with Widowdoublelung. Let us know what you think Jeff.
I too am a big Zipper fan. Personally, I prefer the full size risers (the Extreme particularly) over the smaller SXT risers. Yours looks like the full size.
I've got some heavy carbon/foam recurve limbs (all of the limbs are interchangeable) in case you really want to have some fun!
I'll definately give my take on the Zipper when I get a chance to know her...
BB, PM Sent...
I've got a pair of these and they shoot as great as they look
and that's saying something, expect to be impressed
Also you may find the limbs are so fast you need heavier
arrows my carbon limbed zip shots best 15 to 20# over bow weight. Zipper power!
My buddy bought a new Zipstick one -piece LB from Bill at ETAR this summer. It is my first real experience with carbon/foam core limbs, and I could not be more impressed.
Thats a Beauty! KY :archer:
Do the limbs interchange? I know the Nitro has different limb angles, but would limbs off the Extreme fit on say a SXT riser?
Very nice!
Yes those Limbs will fit on an SXT riser, but the limb width outside the limb bolts is slightly wider on an extreme. So extreme limbs will "overhang" less than 1/8'' on an SXT riser.
Well, I got the bow the other day, and have shot it a fair amount this weekend. It really reminds me of the Carbon Foam Morrison Shawnee's I've owned/shot in the past... very good manners, quiet, and quick! Very nice looking bow also! I don't think the grip and I will get along long term though... I'm more of a locator or low recurve grip and this one is probably a medium/high??? Just not comfortable for me...

Well, the Zipper just didn't fit me all to well... so it has been traded. I traded with a fellow member of the site for a Centaur Triple Carbon, 60", 53# @ 28" so 56# - 57# at my draw... Stippled grip, two tone dymondwood riser. Been wanting to try the triple carbon for a while... this will be a good chance to do so. The grip looks a lot more to my liking... Here are the pics I have of it now as both bows are in the mail...

Really wish it was at least 10# heavier, but should be able to get a good feel of the bow and see what the triple carbon option has to offer. I've owned a non-carbon Centaur in the past and although it was a great bow in its own right I sold or traded it a while ago...
If you all have shot the Triple Carbon, please give your reviews of it also... I really wanted the Zipper to "fit" but it just didn't... I was looking hard at another members Nitro, but it looks like the grip is very similar...
