Just wanted to sing a praise for Beth at Schafer bows. I was thinking of ordering a new Silvertip and had been pestering her with questions about differant bows, when up pops one for sale here at Tradgang. So I bought the bow and then was hessitant in contacting Shafers for onfo. on said bow thinking after the time she had invested that she prolly would be offended.I couldn't have been more wrong, not only did she respond and answer all my questions about my new bow,but did it on a weekend when your not supposed to be working!Hats off to you Beth, you are the best!Incidently everything I have always heard about Schafer bows is true,it's all good!
Beth is a real gem! One of the best parts of ordering a new Silvertip is talking to Beth. Silvertips are a best custom bows out there IMO, the Windauers are even better people.
:clapper:
Exactly why I own 2 and have another on order. Top notch, always willing to answer questons on any new bow you may want to order or a used bow you may have picked up. Only other bows on my rack are a Cari-Bow longbow, a Brack Quest I had custom made and a Bear Type 1 A riser. None of my Schafer's will ever be sold while I am alive, and my "Love Potion #9" will be buried with me.

Come on Danny, Love Potion #9 deserves better then to spend the rest of it's life in a box with your ugly mug :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
OK! Danny and Cacci, I'm thinking, I'm thinking!!! Let's see Bocote and Amarilla or Wenge and Snakewood or....................? :campfire:
Sergio send me your ph# please I'll call you tomorrow.
I met Dave and Beth in 2004 at the Kalamazoo trade show :) It was my first traditional archery show and I purchased my first traditional bow....You guessed it, it was a Windauer Schafer 1 piece longbow. Since then, it has been downhill Silvertip from there :bigsmyl:
Serio-
I am curious, Dave is in shorts and Beth is in jeans, long sleeve shirt and a vest. What time of year was your visit :)
Kevin in Michigan
Limbow, I was there mid June this year.
Cacci; I am leaving for Toronto early tomorrow morning. Will call you when i get back.
used to see them both in Denton Hill every year in mid to late 90s....always enjoyed talking with them both and never made me feel like too many questions or too many stupid quiestions. Still would like a Schafer one day to add to my wall....just not yet. LOL
Yes,Someday it would be great to own a Schaffer. If I can catch Danny at a weak moment that No.9 will be heading north,I've already talked to the bank shes all set-up !LOL, Now to play Vulture.
Two of the finest for sure!!
No doubt two of the best. Excellent bows and customer service!! nice honest family
 :notworthy:
Dave and Beth auctioned off the serial #10 Silvertip ever made by Paul himself for Paul Brunner and gave the money to a friend of mine who was struggling with cancer.
Yeah, they are okay in my book.
Good folks for sure!!!! :clapper:
I've emailed Beth NUMEROUS questions about strings, risers, etc., and she has always been very prompt and very courteous.
After the new year, I plan on sending in some limbs to have another riser made to fit - based on my experiences with Beth and Dave, I'm sure it will be awesome.
I'll echo all that has been said here. Dave builds awesome bows, and Beth is just a pleasure to deal with. Nothing is too much trouble, and you can't go wrong to be guided by her recomendations.
Have 2 Tips both RC's a TD and a 1pc, both awesome, should get my 1pc LB in April or so :bigsmyl:
