Gotta agree Joe, the best success story of all are the friendships.
Does the Ohio Osage fumes make you guys start to look the same? In those pictures Kenny and Mick look like they could be brothers.
Kenny's taller :biglaugh:
Wonderful pics you guys!
I'm curious how much weight are you pulling on your bows? How much do your arras weigh?
Thanks!
sgrogg, I shoot between 42 and 48# with the highest being that hickory flatbow (pic 1) which was 53# and my arrows range from 500-600 grains ohh and my average shot distance on those critters is under 10 yards..the furthest was the turkey down by the creek at 15 yards.
Mickey,
What's your typical shot distance on the kills you've made?
I edited my post to include that.
Found a couple more

Mickey,
What a fun and impressive array of pictires! I'd hve loved to have been a mouse in the corner when some of those happened.
I did notice, though, that you chose to feature more pics of yourself than the far better half... What's up with that?
Eric, your second photo should become your avatar. That's really a nice shot.

LOL ya got to love the kids and frogs pics. What an awesome quarry for youngsters (kinda like pigs for oldsters :bigsmyl: )
Dang Flaatstick, that is one impressive stack of deer pics. I am impressed. You're moving right up the ladder next to Guru in my eyes.
Darryl, even though I've made Dianne about 6 selfbows, and Dano made one she hunts with quite often, and she enjoys shooting them, it seems the critters don't come in until she is carrying her Rocky Mt Recurve and then they are in trouble and usually end up in the freezer. Think I got something coming from a master selfbow builder friend that may change her luck, and outlook, a little bit. ;)
Ferret,,,thanks but I'm still near the bottom rung of that ladder.Someday maybe I'll be up near the top with you & Guru!! ;)
These were taken with selfbows the last couple of years. I don't have many of my pictures uploaded to Photobucket, I might make time to do that this coming week and add to the array.
