I am considering either a Shrew Lil' Favorite or a RER Arroyo to turkey hunt with this spring out of my ground blind. I would want either to be 54" and 40# @ 28" draw. Anyone have any thoughts on either? Pics would be great also!
Thanks,
Mike

Don't have any experience with either one but
if you are thinking of ordering a new bow, Shrew is not taking any new bow orders for now.

I have shot them both and liked them both. The Shrew grip fits me a little better. Neither was a 54" bow. I do have a couple 54" Shrew longbows that are great.

I have a 58" RER Arroyo and it's perfect for ground hunting..The static limb tips make it one very smooth drawing bow while sitting down... I also have a Hoots 56" bow and it's built somewhat like a shrew and Lee has a very quick turnaround..He will custom you anything you like and stippling feels great in the hand...

check out the hoots before you buy. i own a shrew and a hoots prefer the hoots jmo

Hoots are nice too, but I again prefer the Shrew grip.

I know this wasn't one of your choices, but if you are talking about using in a turkey blind, I will highly recommend you at least check out the Two Tracks Ambush. It is by far the smallest powerhouse I have ever owned.

FWIW I think Kevin does make a 54 " Arroyo. I would give him a call before you make up your mind,he will tell you straight and you can do from there.

I have a RER Arroyo 54" that I use for turkey hunting out of my blind. A great shooting and looking bow.
