I am planning on going to this Expo. My first ever trad event. I'm wondering if you can actually take your bow's there and shoot them, like trying out arrow spine and the such. I would really like to find out my true draw, true weight, proper form, and all that good stuff. I know there will be vendors there selling their products and I am sure the lines will be long for like Black Widow, et.all but how bout arrows and booths set up for help, etc...
They're not really geared up for that. Can bring a bow or two to sell. Most any bowyer there can help you determine your correct draw length. Though everyone will be willing to give you shooting advice, it will be more confusing than helpful IMO. Good place to check out the form and ways of shooting others have.
As I recollect I don't think you can. You can bring arrows to try out bows that are there.
It's more of a place to try a lot of different vendors' bows. They had a range or two set up the last time I was there, and I tried out all kinds of bows. I hope to make it again this year.
But if it is the same this year as it was 2 years ago, it's not really set up to bring in your own bow and shoot it. You'll want to bring some arrows, tab/glove, and armguard, and perhaps a few different weight points to approximate what you'd need with the different weight bows you'll be trying out.
They will not let you bring your bow in to shoot. You can / should bring your own arrows/tab/glove so you can shoot all kinds of bows if you wish. The lines ebb and flow. I did not find them too long the two years I went. Great way to spend a January day!! Great show.
Most important thing to take is lots of money but leave the plastic at home.
