Got to looking back through some pictures and thought it would be neat to see some of the kids of tradgangers first harvests with their stickbows. Below is my oldest sons first harvest he was 4 at the time and now just turned 7. I would make up an elaboration of a hunting tale with a stealthy stalk that ended with a 25 yard shot, but in reality it was many attempts at point blank range that finally put this grasshopper in the trophy room. The hopper was shy of boone and crockett status but was a solid representation of the species. Equipment used was 8# at 16 inch draw pigrim squirt and crooked 1/4 dowell arrow with field point with glog of dirt on the end.

Now if he can hit those boogers while they're flying he'd have one up on me. :)
