Had not picked up the wheeled machine since the longbow came in the box almost two years ago. I finally got around to putting the compound up for sale last weekend, and sold it yesterday to a Navy guy looking to get into bow hunting. But I swear, I thought I'd lost the sale when he he asked if he could try one of my longbows!
Congrats on the sale, you won't regret it.
Oh, no indeed, like I said, it's been years since I even shot anything non-trad. Not sure why I didn sell before. Now, if I could just use the money to buy some time to hunt......
Congrats on the sale.
That was'nt a wise salesman trick to show your longbow! ;) You'll never lookback
ti-guy - it's probably a good thing I don't do sales for a living, but yeah, I jotted that one in the mental notebook of lessons learned. I guess I COULD have tried to switch him to a Toelke if needed, but fortunately after missing the backstop a couple of times, he was content to leave teh Trad stuff to me - for now!
Man I have two wheeled bows and they are in shambles picked them up at garage sales years ago. I have been shooting long bows and recurves for seven years or so. I finally just ordered my first custom bow. Now the wait. You won't be sad you got rid of it.
When I fist shot a traditional bow down at Dan Quillian Archery Traditions shop about 20 years ago.I bought a longbow and sold my wheel bow within two weeks and never looked back.
Its been 12yrs for me, no compound. No regrets!...KYArcher
