Title: ACS takedown with RC grip Help
Post by: Longspur77 on December 03, 2012, 10:56:00 PM
Been looking at some 62" Acs and was wondering how the grip feels on this particular riser. I don't grip my Shawnee like I probably should(low grip) but more Ike my recurve asbell almost grip straight wrist. Any info would help.thanks
Dave

I've been shooting this riser for awhile now. In my opinion the finger grooves on this bow are somewhat misleading as I feel this riser balaces the best using a high wrist or medium grip. It feels torquey with a low grip. I shoot it with a medium wrist with my hand open so that there is only one point of contact with my hand.

Yea, i am normally a recurve guy but have killed some deer this year with a low grip longbow with a highwrist. it just doesnt feel right to me. oh well. i guess i will keep swapping and trying new bows.

The RC grip feels just like a recurve with thumb groove and narrow throat. I have shot lots of custom recurves and longbows and I would rank it at or very near the top of favorite all-time bow handle.

I think their 14" riser with the recurve grip is their best yet, like it better than the 16"

it sounds like no one wants to sell one! THey must be pretty good and it sounds like if you shoot a more of a high wrist then it would feel pretty good. Thanks guys
