The latest issue [November-December 2012] of "South Carolina Wildlife" has a short article on Owen Jeffery. page 24
Thanks, I'm going over there tomorrow to see him. I'll check it out.

Can we see it online? About 15 years ago, I wanted to buy one his short, takedown recurves. They shot beautifully!
It is a good little piece. Glad I was lucky enough to get started down this path by such a great one.
I went by the shop today. Owen was there and looked very good! He was admiring the picture of him posing with the 400Lb Boar that he killed a few years ago. I asked him why he was admiring that picture, he stated in normal Owen Jeffery (with a smile) tone "because I can" I laughed my can off! He is a wonderful man. He just turned 88 back in October.
Of course I then twisted his arm into signing the picture for me. I will add a picture of the picture in a little while.

Here are the pictures. Owen when he was a "Young" man. I believe that this deer is or was on Display in the "Fred Bear" Museum and the hog he killed a little while back.

Happy 90th birthday, Owen.
The man that taught me everything I know about bowhunting!
I saw him last week and he is still pushing around.
I have so many unforgettable memories chasing hogs and deer with this legend.
Jeffrey made most of the bows that Dan Quillian designed. Dan supplied them (Owen and Tom) with the Superceder shafts I manufactured. Looks like it might be them in Owen's quiver. Fine folks.
