Went out to test drive some vintage Ben Pearson arrows and broadheads today, and they flew GREAT!
but while shooting them i noticed that they are straight fletched W/ no offset, or helical twist.
Being old school, i was under the impression that without helical twist, or offset fletch, good flight was near impossible with a broadhead,.... well these old shafts sure put my old way thinking to shame.
Is this just a fluke? or can consistent proper arrow/ broadhead flight be achieved W/ straight, no offset fletch, as long as all the other variables are matched really well?
Sounds like it can, maybe you got lucky and got a perfect tune out of the box. Weirder things have happened, just not to me. :dunno:
