I did a search and came up with nothing. I have a modified quiver and want to do another one. Anyone have any directions or advise? Thanks.
Just a couple pair of vise grips works fine. Bend, check, bend. :D
Thanks Rob. We tried one yesterday and it snapped! So we are trying not to repeat it :)
I use a propane torch to heat the wires. Just protect the hood and work carefully. You can remove the gripper
I've got a extra if You screw up Ryan. LOL
Post some pics. of what Your trying to modify please.

Thanks Brett. I'm out of town and can't post. I'm doing this off my phone. We are going to try the torch later today. Thanks for the posts guys.
I meant post pics
I have done a couple with no heat but used a vise wich gives you more control and bend sloooowly.
The first time I showed someone how to do the mod there quiver snapped ...go figure.
What kind of modification are y'll trying to make? All I use is GN and if there is a way to make a great quiver better I want to know!
Thanks,
Bisch
I took apart one and used the strap one parts to use on a 4 arrow leather top bear quiver to make it from a spring arm to an adjustable strap on. I was able to bend the strap on part of the GN with just a couple channel locks pretty easily.
Nobody gonna let me in on the secret?
I'll say pretty please!
Bisch
Guys, sorry, I have been hunting all of December WAY out of town. I think what Ryan is trying to do is bend the lower arm so the pad mounts on the belly and keeps the fletching out from in front of the bow. I have done this myself, but it os not always successful and definitely VOIDS the GN warranty.
I have been after Bob since he took over to give us guys who do a lot of stalking and want the arrows back and out of the way an option. He has in a big way. He has 3 new models.
Shown on my Long Riser TallTines
The Original Adjustable Strap on Kickback:

The Adjustable Strap on Kickback Extreme:

And there will be The QuickMount Kickback which is almost ready but I have not shot with that one on a bow yet.
I have shot thousands of shots with both the Kickback and Kickback Extreme and they are as solid and quieting as the standard models. I just had an Extreme on a two week mountain lion hunt...it stood up to as much abuse as one could imagine during thousands of miles stuffed in the back of a truck or strapped on to my backpack or snowmobile.
The Great Northern quiver is the PERFECT bow quiver now that it has the Kickback option.
I believe all three are available now and Bob will definitely have stock for sale at Kalamazoo.
There it is Bisch. Sorry for not getting pics up sooner. Glad to see GN is making the modifications. Are they going to offer the deeper hood as well Steve? If you ever want to get rid of the strap on let me know ;)
Ryan, the new Kickback quiver is on thier website, you can go with the deeper hood for an additional $5 I believe.
Ryan,
All you have to do is ask for the long hood. Here it is full of 250g VPAs and 260g Snuffers and I had them just barely in the hole as opposed to stuffed in deep like you would when hunting.

yeah i want the larger hood....guess need to sell my current regular version first and order a new one.
GN says no heat when bending the metal, if it broke without using heat I would contact them, the directions are on the website, not for what you are doing but for bending it so the pads lay flat on the limbs.
