I have a 46# at 28" McCullough 59er and am trying to tune some arrows. I draw about 27.5. I have some Gold tip 1535 and 3555 at 30" with 250 grains up front. I thought the 3555's would work better than the 1535's, but that does not seem to be the case. Any ideas? Too stiff, too weak?
In my experience with those arrows, at 45#, with 30" arrows & 250 up front, they will both be too weak. I would either shorten the arrow if you're dead set on 250 up front, or decrease the tip weight until you get good arrow flight.
I bet if you drop a 125 tip on that 30" 3555 it will shoot much better.....
Take care,

Thanks Jasper2. Anyone else?
I would also check your nock fit on the serving. Tight nocks can give you lots of tuning trouble.
I'm shooting GT 3555's out of a 45# and 55# bow. Arrows cut to 28". They do well out of either bow, but the 55#er likes 125gr tips or broadheads best.
Bare shaft tuning works great for me. If you don't know how, drop me a PM, or look elsewhere on this site.
