Title: Ben Pearson Bows
Post by: woodworker on November 26, 2012, 09:32:00 PM
A friend of mine has a couple of older Ben Pearson bows in his garage (a 45#Specter and a 50# Javelina ) that he does not plan to shoot.  He is looking to move them along but he does not know much about them or what they are worth. Any Ben Pearson experts out there to give me some advice to pass along ?  All the best to every one, Joe

Condition will make a big difference on value.  Any twisted limbs, drilled holes, stress, etc.?  How isthe finish, do they come with strings and have you strung them up?  You probably aren't looking at any high dollar collector bows, but if conditon is good, they would be solid shooters and should bring between $75-150 depending on condition, at least that is my opinion, but I am a shooter and not a collector.

Javalina's are in the $75-$125 dollar range depending on condition. Not sure about the Specter.

Thank you guys, it is as I figured but I am far from an expert and I promised I would ask folks in the know.  I figured the Specter would be a good little bow for my youngest son to grow into and out of, with out breaking the bank. All the best, Joe
