I just traded my grizzly for a supermag48 from 2big, it is the shortest bow that I have ever shot, gonna take a while to get used to the grip, but I like it, this is one compact little recurve, perfect for rabbit hunting here in the thick brush, I am so glad I found this site, great people, great deals, and great stuff!
does anyone else like short bows?(under 58")
Congrats Ian. I have not shot anything under 54 inches. Sounds like you have yourself a good brush bow for sure.
I just got my hands on a Shakespeare x-29 that is a 50" bow. they are fun to shoot but hard to get consistant with. I have a super mag and a couple of other 48"ers
I have a 52" Shakespeare X-18...no problems shooting that one.
I had a newer super mag not to long ago, nice bow.Would like to find an older one.Leon
I have shot many Super 48s. Most people do not like them, but for me, I shoot them as good as anything. Be sure to shoot a arrow of at least 10 grains per pound. Light arrows are hard on that short bow.
Congrats on the bow
I shoot a 48" Rocky Mountain Recurve. It shoots great and is perfect out of a stand.
Glad you like it! :D I really enjoyed shooting it but I have a thing for those old Grizzlies. ;)
I gotta 42" Stalker, made by Rodney Wright. I love it, no problems, shoots great.
I have shot a few short bows and I liked a few and disliked even more. I fijnd it hard to find a short bow that is not real critical of release. That said the two I have and will keep are my RER Arroyo 54"s and a Browning that is 54"s as well, they are both very quick and very forgiving. Shawn
