I have heard nothing but good about Shrews. One thing that I don't hear much is about how quiet they are.I shoot Widow recurves and love them but I know they are not the quietest bows out there. How does the Super Shrew compare to a bow like the BW PSA?
The Shrew Long Bows are very quiet(easy to tune to quiet) and the Lil Favorite Scout I had was quite quiet also.
I have four bows and will start hunting this fall with the quietest one..... Shrew Scout Recurve.

Check the tread Another Shrew
Silent. No noise issues at all whether using wood, aluminum, or cedar. My Shrew Longbows have beaver fur silencers (1 on each end), my recurves have rubber cat whisker style. Ron LaClair prefers the rubber cat whisker style.
Roger,
I know Ron likes the cat whiskers cause my bow had them on them when he sent it too me. It may be my ears, but I like them dead animals on my string better than rubber ! I use two large beaver or muskrat fur silencers and they seem to work well. No " Twang " , at all. The only bad thing about animal is they do look pretty sad in the rain and can catch burrs when hunting in brush. The cat whiskers are better in those two areas. I remember last year during our hunts we would sit in the stand and kill time by picking the beggar lice out of our fur silencers.

I own a couple of Black Widow TFV's. They are cool bows and I shoot them well. But they are recurves. That means string slap. A heavy arrow with string silencers and Bow Hush works wonders. Still can't compare to a longbow like the Shrew or John McCoullgh "Griffin" for QUIET shooting.
For a guy like me that hunts from the ground, stalking... Quiet means more than speed.

The one thing I always say about the Super Shrews that I have, is how quiet I can get them. Not a single noise issue with the ones that I have shot.
Cheers,
Donavan
My Classic Hunter is "DEAD" quiet :D !
