Is anyone aware of a daypack mfg who makes a quiet model with a suspension system? Closest I could find was Bison Gear but have not been able to get a return phone call or email since I left messages 2 weeks ago.
I like military surplus packs and gear, if you would like a place to check some of them out give me a PM and I can direct you. They have some of the modern military packs being used today and are priced great.
Kifaru spike camp, but get ready to pay for it. Can shoot a bow with it on.
I bought a bison gear lost river a month or so ago and really like it the couple times I have walked around with it so far anyways.
Try grey wolf woolens and they might have some in stock. thats where I got mine because I also never got any return calls or emails from the direct source.

If you decide to go with a fanny style pack just make sure it has a suspension system. I tried a fanny pack years ago only to discover that you have to actually have a butt in order to make them work. Mine just slid down to my ankles. LOL!
Thanks for the image Ross
If you are looking for a lumbar style daypack, both Nimrod and Oregon Packworks are beefy lumbars with great suspensions.
Look into Ribz. I wear mine with all my essentials while my extras fit in small day pack. It even rides well in the truck, so extr tabs, water, gloves and binos are never off my body
Lots to choose from
