Title: Border Control in Virginia...
Post by: BigRonHuntAlot on August 16, 2007, 12:47:00 PM
... I finally got around to posting some pics of a new to me Border Black Douglas that I got from Danny Rowan. Thought I would share some pics. I shot her for about 20 minutes today and this is the best group so far. Smooth,Stable bow. I just have to decide when I am going to have time to hunt with all these beauties  :knothead:

Way to go Ron!  I didn't realize that beauty had made it to the Old Dominion.

I think you will need to set up a schedule by day.  Maybe the Border should be your Thursday bow.  Do you get to hunt any on Thursdays?  Or maybe by species...the Border could be your bear hunting bow.......

I'm sure you'll figure something out....

That's a real looker there.  Is that walnut? Nice, I thought there was another new bow you were getting this year.  Guess you already got it.  You're going to need a caddy soon to carry all your bows.

"Hmm, looks like a 25 yard downhill shot.  Better hand me my Border for this one."

Nice looking bow Ron!  If you feel too guilty about ignoring that beauty I would be happy to excercise it for you!

Ahhh, I miss that bow. Looks like she is treating you well Ron. Although it says 57# on the limbs,on the Super Ultra CX riser she is pulling 60# or so at 28" and is 58". Hope to see a post this season with a nice animal you have taken with her.

Ron,

Like Donald said, I can't believe Danny sold this one either. Mine is a keeper. One of the best shooting recurves I have ever shot. I have never shot the XP10 limbs so I don't know how they compare to the XP30, HEX4's and 5's, but I am sure they are great. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.

Take care, Louis

Don't fret Danny. Ron will treat it well.  And I imagine you will find a way to put another Border on your bow rack in the future.  Hang in there....
