well i twisted someones arm, and sold some bows to make some funds. and soon i will have my new jdberry stringfollow bow. hes had the form for a long time just doesnt advertise it. but i talked him into busting it out. and soon i will have the first one made in a while. im so lucky.
if its anywhere close to his vixen im gonna have a heck of a bow. which im sure it will be. as of right now its gonna be bamboo limbs with some kinda fancy maple veneers and a fumed purple heart riser. i cant wait to get it. all of james's bows are works of art. and crazy good shooters. and of course i will post some pics when i get it. if i can set it down long enough.
:clapper:
Looking forward to it Shawn.
Pretty cool,I'll be interested in seeing this one.
Very Nice!
Thats great Shawn! Missed this thread when you posted it.
You will have something trully unique!!!
Will that bow be a Vixen, or doe he make a completley different bow with string follow?
Bob.
Bob its a completrly different form than the vixen. Hes had the form a long while. I have a vixen too . And lance thanks bud.
Shawn, can't wait to see pics in a month or two. Sounds like you will be getting one helluva bow. Congrats!
Bob.
So is that te name you settled on?
what was the price? curious about this does anyone have any info on this bow when he did advertise it? also is this the string follow bow that was in the old Dan Berry brochure maybe 15yrs ago?
Tajue17 im not sure if its the same one. But u could always call and ask james. I know hes had this form for a long time. And the price is 485 or somewhere round there.
Brian.james came up with the name.
Thats what my Vixen cost good deal,Ron
Is this the man whose judgement you'd follow?....lol
I guess being as how he is one of the "Merry Men" he may have some added validity to his choices...lol

God bless,Mudd
PS: note he is smart enough to have been shooting one of the best bows I've been blessed to have owned.
Mudd is that JD? You would figure a man so talented would be better looking!! Just Kidding!!! :biglaugh:
Of course the hat does help!
Lol no lance thats me. And im great lookin. Have a happy thanksgiving folks.
:D Happy athanksgiving to you too!
And ill be happy to take that bow hanging up on your right
Went over to Jame's this morning, Shawn sorry to say I shot your bow before you did and what a sweet shooter it is. I really like the name James choose for this model he named it after my daughter "Misty Dawn" Tajuse 17 I never did build a string follow bow. The brochure you seen years ago was J D Berrys, I know he had it in there for a short time in the late 90's.
Lol well dan thats fine. Need some good mojo on it. And lance figures its my argos in the background lol good taste.
You Berry fans, how many of you have seen one of these? I was at James' shop a few years back and this is one that we made. I say "we" but you know James did all the real work. He would only let me sand. This is a takedown Argos. I don't think he made more than a dozen or so.

Nice!!!
Never have seen one thanks. Looks good. I have never even shot a 2 piece. Does it really feel like a one piece?
I can't say as this bow is virgin, never been shot. I brought it home with another and decided to just kinda hang on to it.
