finished my primitive side quiver today. it's made from chital hide that i tanned with wattle bark. it is stitched with rawhide lacing. you can't see the stitching cause i made it inside out then turned it when the stitching was done for a cleaner look.
the strap adjustment is made by a series of slits cut into the top strap and an antler toggle tied with rawhide on the bottom strap.
it's finished with duck fat for a weather resistant finish.
overall i'm very happy with it. it looks nice and is very practicle at the same time.
one step closer to going back in time.....
