I just bought a used spine tester what do they mean by 26" center I never spined arrows before thanks.
Rob
Generally (and regardless of the length of your arrow) on a spine tester the posts that support the arrow are placed 26" apart and you place your weight in the middle to get your reading.
Wod arrows were always spined on 26" centers with a 2# WEIGHT. Some of the newer stuff is figured on 28" centers with a 1.8# weight. It comes out to the same thing. Spining on 26" centers is figure to get the spine right for a 28" arrow orm draw.
Yep. Set the shaft on supports 26" apart and hang a 2# weight at the center. I set to pieces of arrow shaft into the edge of a shelf to make mine.
