As we all know, archery can be very addictive. Sometimes it is a black hole too, where all your money dissapears... We are getting to the end of this year now...time for confessions.. :)
So what did you buy for archery stuff this year?
I will start, have mercey with me....
One Cari-Bow Peregine, 2nd hand, like new
One Whippenstick Phoenix, 2nd hand like new
Some SBD strings
A custom made bowsleeve in which my Phoenix fits with Thunderhorn BOA mounted
A whole lot of Sitka Spruce shafts
Big Jims Goldtip Blems
A Thunderhorn small Fry sidewinder
A Thunderhorn superstringer
A Scott Teaschner Armguard
Antler Limb Bolts
And a sidequiver coming up (string struggling between a leather one or the Arrowmaster...)
That's about it....
Now it is your turn to confess....
There is no way i am putting all my stuff on here. First of all. are you in cahoots with my wife. she has been trying to find out.
Ah aaa, no way now how are you all getting me to confess to the three bows i bought. nope, not gonna talk about the dozens of shafts i have stashed away in the basement. and forget if if you think i am gonna tell you about my Kuiu.
YOu cant make me talk. I am way to strong for that.
no way :nono:
Oh come on, your wicked souls will never find redemption in this way.....
I bought my hunting licenses and tags...
Materials to build 3 bows (one given away in the bow swap)
3 dozen shafts
feathers/nocks/field points/lacquer
two gloves
arm guard
GFA Qiver (bought used from classifieds)
string making material
G. Fred Asbell's book
3D deer target
passes to 5 traditional shoots
and of course, hunting license
That's all I can recall right now, but at least it's better than guzzling the money down in beer (I did some of that too).
:nono: :nono: Not a chance...
And create an electronic paper trail? Surely you jest! I've been at this too long to fall for that!
I'm with Whip, I can't risk my wife seeing this..... Lol
I must be the lucky one, have not bought anything new for archery except arrow components and strings in over 20 years. Bought my bow in 1991 for $300.
I KNOW NOTHING!!!
bretto
I spend countless hours/money in my shop building bows, mostly kids bows, with a lot of research/development time thrown in.
I tricked my wife into thinking it is great as long as I always make time for her projects ,hunting, fishing, garden, yard, housework, and she gets 3 plus new bows a year along with dozens of new arrows.
Time to cook breakfast so I better scoot.

2 sets of Border Hex6 ILFs
3 DAS risers
2 vintage Rocky Mountain Recurves
Who knows how many broadheads, strings, string building stuff, arrow stuff....oh geez....I have a problem!
You will get no information from me what so ever! The consequences and repercusions of my actions and weeknesses could come back to take a major chunck out of my rear if the misses ever found out.Denial is tranquility !LOL
Robrtson fatal styk, more then a few dozen shafts, feathers, nocks, field points, string material, glue and I can't rember whatever else.
Thats not counting my out of state tags and leases.
SHE only knows about an Acadian Tree Stick and that is the way it will stay!
I bought so much gas just to go hunting!!!
I bought
Hawk Hunter GL Border Archery

several dozen of arrows
ASAT suit
and much more, and I know that this is all scary expensive. But I have nothing else to buy, I bought everything I wanted, now I'm just going to hunt
Uh...er..., I ain't bought nothin'!
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it. If you want anything more outta me, yer gonna have to go through my lawyer!
Except I did get some...
Wool pants
Wool vest
8-dozen arrow shafts (to last many years!)
Some exotic limb veneers (for a new bow someday?)
A couple new trad DVDs
And for next year...
That new bow?
A Rhineheart target?
An out-of-state hunt?
But that's all you're gettin' outta me...
oh, I forgot to say that I'm divorced from my wife, so I had no pressure.
Ha Ha! All of my bows were either donated to me or borrowed by me. ;---)
No Way! It would be too long of a post, LOL
Darned! To less real men here.... I just tell HER what I am going to buy and actually do it. I am telling her archery is better then watching porn and drinking beer. She agrees as a good wife should. But watching triple rated bow-porn for adults only and sipping a good old Bourbon or Scotch at the same time is ok!

kom bowman jacket
200 feathers

It would take the whole page! "sigh". And another page for all the stuff I still want! Lol

That's gonna cost you..... :D
I bought 1 used Predator classic, 1 doz Gold Tips 1 doz wood shafts, 1 doz Zwickeys, 1 pair Alpen binoculars, 100 feathers, 2 camo outfits, 2 pair of boots, 1 quiver, 2 bottles of wine and 3 doz roses. I am forgiven! ;)
I got nothing I didn't need other than about an extra 6 arrows and an extra 4-6 small game heads.
I'm fairly slow to buy something and don't like owning tons of stuff that does the same thing. I've only got one bow, a back quiver, and a bow quiver.
A Tomahawk Legacy series bow 55# @ 28" and a pair of 60# limbs for it.
Over 2 dozen shafts.
Inserts.
Nocks.
a dozen grizzly broadheads.
Ah the list goes on and on.
This is one misguided soul! We NEVER confess.
Four dozen carbon shafts and every thing that goes with them . Few more calls. Some more broad heads. Three more dozen carbon shafts and more broad heads. Dancing rat decoy.couple more calls.Couple hundred flethches,License and tags. One or two gallons of gass.
