Took a few squirells in the past but committed to the longbow this year. Sold the compound and I will never go back. Had my first child on Sept 29th so hunting time this year is very limited. I posted a pic of my son's room. I am starting him out the right way!! I took this buck in mid october. It was my first hunt since my son was born and I decided to take the first deer that presented a shot. I have killed 100+ deer with the compound. None of them compared to this. I want to thank everyone on here who answered my questions and for the load of information I aquired through searches. I used a Saxon American longbow and a VPA 3 blade head. Since then I have been fortunate to harvest a doe in my limited time out. I love traditional archery. Just wish I started sooner!!
