There is another post buried here about it where he asked about posting a pic, but this buck deserves some attention!
Awesome buck Adam!
That is a brute. Very nice.
He is helping a friend now so do not know how much more detail he will be able to add, but this also came in on the hotline...
"Kansas DIY hunt, nov 6th, 1st Talltines Buck, 1st Trad Harvest, truly the best hunt of my life, and Brian builds an anti-buck fever antiodote in his bow. 275lbs field dressed, 26 inch neck. Cedar arrow, Zwickey glue on 2 blade"
I love when you can tell a guy is excited!
Body like a shetland pony! Wow, he is a hoss.
A real stud!

Awesome, that is a toad!!
275 lbs? That's a whole lot of deer burger. That thing hit the ground with a thud! :)
I think I would be smiling a bit more if I killed a whopper like that one  :dunno:
WOW!
Heck of a buck!
Congratulations on a super buck. :clapper:
That's a boy dog! Congrats
What a beast!!
Unreal ! congrats
Incredible Buck!
I think I'd have a bit of a smile on my face with a monster like that. Maybe the "fever" had him at that point?
Are you sure that buck is real? looks more like he had an elk for a father. Great job. 276# dressed? Does that mean he was 300 or close? The most amasing things are the size of the anther bases and the size of those legs. :notworthy:

I asked Roger Rothhaar about that one a lomg time ago. He said, "I am smiling on the

What a great buck! Congratualtions! That's quite a first for a first traditional kill.
Wow! That's a great one for a first or one hundredth. Can't wait to hear the story of the hunt.
Chris
Great buck congrats!
Thanks for posting the pic, just got bck from kansas was moral support for my buddie. We had one at 60 yards that made this one look like a dink.
I took mine from public land, it was a nitemare season, hunters every place, I had private ground but there was more people hunting it than I cared to be around, I had hunters on the public messing things up, I injured my rotator cuff the 2nd day I was there, I found a good spot 2 miles from the road, it was the most over looked funnel I could think of, got in early the 6th of November, this guys walks by after good light at 30 yards, I wanted to cry, he went into the cedars, I grunted at him when he got in there, but he never came out. A few minutes later, he came out at 75 yards walking away, he stopped to smell a scape, I grunted at him, he looked my way and turned away and started to walk away, I said screw it and snort wheezed at him with my mouth. He turned around walked straight to my tree stiff legging side stepping like a Brama bull, ears laid back swelled up like a tick, stopped turned broadside at 14 yards, I drew picked a spot, let it roll and pin wheeled him. It looked like someone shot him out of a cannon. He ran thru a barbed wire fence, torn it down , went flying thru a brush pile and was on a death run. When I recoverd him his jaw was broken and he broke of a 4 inch sticker I think, it looked like a fresh break.
Truly amazing hunt, I had nothing but bad luck for 7 days, seen more people than deer, hurt my arm, I guess it truly pays to keep on going, cause the rut is the rut, it can all change in seconds.
I tell u guys about my buddies hunt tomorrow, started as a nitemare and almost ended in a miracle.
WOWWW!!!
Whenever I hear a guy talking about how his deer weighed 250 dressed im always thinking "yeah whatever" in my head....they never seem to have pics tho. All I can say is wow. They must feed those things miracle gro up there. That's hands down the biggest bodied deer I've ever seen. Oh and I guess the antlers are ok too. :)
I'm glad you took the saddle off that horse before taking his picture. ;)
Wow, congratulations on sticking with it and tagging a beauty. :clapper:
That snort wheeze is deadly on big bucks. Sounds like a high pressure situation!
Great buck Adam!
Heck of a deer there ...its hard to beat that big boy WHAT A BRUTE!!!
Yeah I am not a huge fan of calling to deer, unless I have no option, the snort wheeze will eihter work or make them vacate the area even faster.
Awesome buck congrats.
Nice one, congrats
Awesome!! :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Wow! Nice work- great buck
Awesome buck, congrats!
Great job, that's a nice buck!
