Been raining a bunch and have been busy with some minor construction at the house of late and have not had the chance to shoot. Today I decided to take a break from the construction and shoot the Adcock ACS CX.
Wondurful bow. I shoot is as good as I used to shoot my Adcock one piece that was 72#@27". First longbow that I have been consistant with in a long time. I have found that it likes me to hold it like I do my recurves, with a straight wrist,it does not like heel down conventional longbow grip. I am very happy to have found this bow and it will not be going anywhere, as a matter of fact I am gonna try and find a riser for the lighter set of limbs and make up a bow for my brother.
62",60#@28",cocobolo riser with grey accent.

Feels good to be shooting a longbow again as that is all I used to shoot.

Good Shoot'n Danny
Mike :campfire:
Nice shooting Danny. I don't know if you have had more than one Adcock but I got to shoot one you owned at one time. It had rattle snake skins on the back and the horn tips were cut out like a rattle. Very nice bow that really flung an arrow.

So does that mean your recurves will start showing up on the CLASSIFIEDS :saywhat: :biglaugh: <><
Very nice Danny.
Barry,
I remember that bow, it was the 2002 PBS bow and a two piece takedown, great bow. Pre ACS but still flung an arrow with authority.
UH Nope,Frank, my curves are not going anywhere.
Thanks for the comments on my shooting, that was my second group of the day with the bow from 25 yards. Tightened up a smidge the more I shot. We wont talk about the first group,LOL,did not have my head in the game so had to smack myself.
Danny
They are nice bows, all right.
See the one in my avatar? I shot it today, too.
Bull snake backed, horn nocks, cocobolo.
I bought it used. It's marked 52# @ 30" and I pull 29".
It's an ACS with single carbon and sweet. I grip it light and try for equal pressure up/down and left/right, in my bow hand; and use my middle finger lightly touching the center...to keep it from jumping or me anticipating and grabbing.
Have fun!
