I love making arrows and have been fortunate to be asked to make arrows for many others. But sometimes you just have to stop and make some for yourself! haha
These are 80/85's, breasted tapered (11/32"-23/64"-5/16"), 145gr points, Bearpaw 5/16" nocks, with white end spliced fletchings. They fly soooo nice out of my 62#@28" Blacktail "Columbian" longbow. I think these arrows will have to accompany me on a late Blacktail buck hunt this coming week.

beautiful! You sure do build some very nice (understatement) arrows.
Very Nice!!

Beauties! :notworthy:
That is a dandy batch of arrows. Very nice!
Jason
I'll bet those make a nice white dot spinning out of the bow
Nice work as always
Sweet,congrats.
Beautiful, I know the ones that i got from you are not only great to look at, but they shoot great. They are riding in my quiver now, I love them.
Tom
Nice work, Snag. We won't make any comments about you being "two arrows short of a full quiver".
homebru
Very very nice, so when can I expect them :-)
Ohhhh, thems is purdy.
Very beautiful!!!
I've got a bad case of 'Arrow Envy'! Those are just beautiful.
Very nice snag! If you happen to connect on a Blacktail we want pictures and a story!
Dave.........Now add some red to um.......
Nice looking arrows.
Gorgeous arrows! Maybe next year ill have to get you to make me some wood arrows.
Good luck on the late hunt! Ill be out there somewhere as well
Good luck
Levi
DANG - those are nothin' less than *AWESOME* !!!
Those look like blacktail buck hair-seekin' missiles!
Find a big-un Snag!
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
Thank you very much for the kind words.
Homebru, I was wondering if someone was going to notice that! haha I bareshafted with the other 2. They are drying as I type this.
Steve, yes they do. That was my intention with these. I hope I get to see that white dot as it disappears into some blacktail hair.
Levi, good hunting! It's snowing up high!
I like that Shinken..."blacktail buck hair-seekin' missiles".
They really do fly so flat and straight out of this bow. It's a Blacktail longbow that Norm doesn't make any longer. It used to belong to a good man who is no longer with us. So if I am able to connect with a blacktail buck with this setup it will mean a lot to me. I will sure be telling a story!
Very tastefully designed and beautifully crafted. Good luck hunting.
Snag, like always nice set of arrows.
How are the footed shaftscoming along, you get anywhere with them yet?
Lenny has a story to tell and one of your arrows played an important part. Just have to convience him to come on here and post the story.
Real real nice. White tailed arrows for a blacktail buck cool.
David
You done real good
I got a feeling you'll connect and we'll be looking for the story. And a pic of one of the missiles stained in red.
Feathered artwork in wood and paint. :notworthy:
AWESOMEEEEE  Good luck on your late blacktail hunt :archer2:
Walt, love to see and hear about Lenny's hunt!
Thank you guys. I wanted these to reflect who I am...gray with a little white on top, but a straight-shooter! haha
It's funny how such talented artists like Snag have chosen the simple bow and arrow as their canvas. There are some amazingly talented bowyers and arrow makers around here. Beautiful arrows Snag. Enjoy them.
Walt, I am getting closer on the footed shafts project. I haven't had a lot of time to put into this...getting closer though!
Those are beautiful!
snag,
What is the old saying..... The mechanic's car is broken down... the painter's house needs painting,.... bout time you made some for yerself bud !
Good luck and hope you add that crimson to them next... :archer2:
Thanks NoCams, I'll give it a good try.
Here is the Blacktail "Columbian" I will be carrying with me.

I've always been partial to Blacktail recurves...still am...but this longbow really is accurate in my hands.

I was going to ask for pics of the bow! lol nice looking for sure!

Just wrong handed for me.... :goldtooth:
