Title: Trailcam "Bear Crunch" repair
Post by: Ken Taylor on November 12, 2012, 01:19:00 PM
I thought  that some of you might be interested in my experience with Bushnell Canada customer service.

This past spring I took a gamble and set up my new Bushnell HD camera before I received the protective box I had ordered for it. It would only be for a few days.

I'm relatively new to trail cameras, but have a lifetime of experience with black bears from just about every angle and I had previously managed to set my other two cameras discreetly enough to go completely undisturbed for weeks (albeit both in protective boxes, but like I said, undisturbed).

Later, upon arriving at my "naked" trailcam site with my new metal box I found the camera torn off the brackets/strap and chewed on by an investigative youngster who had evidently been waiting for his turn to get on bait.

The housing was obviously scrap but I was hoping that the actual camera was o.k.

A while later I sent it to Bushnell Canada, hoping it would cost me less to repair it than to buy a new one.

But WOW! Last week I received an unopened brand new camera free of charge!

Nice! In this world of being the little guy constantly getting the short end of the stick, it's nice to hear about a big company who actually cares!! Those cameras are expensive bear bait! Thanks for sharing the good news.....Ryan
