Are you guys sick of moose pictures?
NO!

I will get a couple out when it is back up.
Right now there is a fast moving thunder storm going over dumping buckets on us and two bulls bedded down.
I have never hunted Moose but always wanted to. I never get sick of moose pictures video or anything to do with moose hunting.
I hope I am not sick of em. Leaving a week from tomorrow to chase moose in Newfoundland. Not looking forward to the drive, but I cant wait.

Sorry about the picture quality one day I will get a good camera.
WOW pet moose. That would be enough to keep my blood pumping for a long time.
That right there is a dandy lawn ornament :D Not to mention a super shiras. So just what are your chances to draw a tag in the area. Can't say you would be hunting that one! :banghead: :D
Brent
Gosh! It sure is hot in some places.
Could you really arrow this ole boy?
that is very cool. If you put out a little corn will they stay. MW Why are they coming in to your place? Can you send your rain and your moose this way....
when i spot one here i'll be sure to get back to this thread.
Blackhawk.
You did post a lifeguard, just to preclude any liability over that moose using your pool, Right? :biglaugh:
I live at 8,000 feet and they hang out up here all summer. There are a couple of ponds in the area.
No need for corn they just hang out. We may not see them for a week or so then they show up.
Last year during the rut a big bull was chasing a cow all over. I was standing outside and they ran between me and the house. Glad he was focused on her and didn't see me.
In Utah a tag is hard to come by, a very limited number are given out for each area. They did air lift some out of my county to Colorado last year. There were apparently too many but not enough to give more tags. I am sure there is some logic involved somewhere.
Logic? F&G? you jest Mitch
How bout no COMMON SENSE.
Oh I gotta go postal, oh no thats the politically incorrect isn't it? Kind of a challenge to wonder what the world would be like with logical thinking leaders.
Brent
Thanks for sharing the pic's!
Brent
Awesome pictures! I have to admit that a moose with a stickbow is one of my dream hunts, but the moose in the photos just wouldn't do. Just like all of the deer that hang around my house, once they become "yard pets", they are safe from my arrows. Dang...I hate when that happens ;) !
Claudia
They are an awesome animal and big too! Hunting them is a wonderful experience. Good luck to all that get a chance.

Just spoke to my neighbor. After they left my place they walked by his and he touched one as it walked by his small kitchen window.
Pincone,
Taking one of these moose just wouldn't seem right.
Hormoan,
Makes you wonder what's going on sometimes.
Okay Blackhawk,
Bullwinkle is a blow-up pool toy that came with the kid's pool...nice try man :goldtooth:
Ahhhhhhhh, moose, will never get tired of seeing them :D :D :D .I'm leaving in 5 weeks for the great white north :campfire:
MW, Next time you're in Boston, give me a ring/pm...Doc
Tippit,
I don't get there too often but I will look you up when I do.
lol looks like hes hot.
Your kidding right my wife and son each drew a bull archery only tag . Friday we will be putting up stands and scouting . Never get enough of them. If you have ever seen one standing a few feet from you you would feel the same.
As I sit re sharpening broadheads I can hear him walking outside and munching. I had a real kind of cross between zen and primevil thing going with the sound of him and me sharpening till my wife eased up beside me and told me if I insisted on testing blades on body hair use my legs and stop making a patch work mess out of my arm hair.
Hey all,
Would a game warden consider a kiddy pool Baiting?
Brian Gillispie
Why don't you get a hot tub and turn the temp up and add a few carrots and such when he gets in?
"Could you really arrow this ole boy?"
This is a trick question right!
"Mommy, what happened to daddy?"

?? I'm not getting the pictures at all, no little red X or anything.
Dennis
I found the reason for no pictures. The IT dept has banned photobucket so I can no longer relieve the daily work stress by touring through everyone's fine pictures during break time. They have deemed the site as containing inappropriate information.
But.....
So far Webshots hasn't been canned. I still have a small avenue for stress relief. They may yet block this as well but they can't keep me from reading the stories and seeing it in my mind's eye.
Dennis
Finally home from 13 hrs at work. The moose in the pool got me the laughter I needed.
Dennis
My friend is back and I was going to get a pic of him but it is right a dusk here and I learned something........moose don't so much like the flash!
He's still out there, I can't see him but can hear him snorting. I'm not going out there, for now he owns the yard.
Well, it is my yard and he's not that big. Got these with a spot light.
Let him use/ have the yard when he looked up.
Mitch I have a elcheapo gamecam. I have sat and watched deer get flashed ( in a nice way ) :D And was amazed they did not turn inside out when it went off. They just stand thier like a deer in the headlights :jumper: No flinch no nothing I was amazed. I would have thought they would have been in the next county!
So I only assume moose are more sensitive, or you smell really bad :jumper:
Brent
Watch think?
I guess I need to get a kiddy pool might work for elk too!
That neet pics!
Could be the smell.........
The funny thing is I am washing and hanging out to dry some camo right now for this weekends deer hunt. My wife keeps walking by as I am going in and out of the house with the moose feeding 30 yards away asking why it is I need the camo as he seems unaffected.
Mitch I hope the deer don't notice all you have done either. Whats that smell?
Brent :bigsmyl:
