Hey guys a few weeks ago I posted about a Black Widow SAII that i purchased off the auction site, well I posted about it becuase the upper tip was damaged when I recieved it  some of yall may remember this post. Well anyhow I contacted the BW guys and then sent it in to have the de-laminating tip re-glued. I recieved it back very quick! I was so happy and excited I had to start shooting, well after about 20 or so arrows the spot had lifted back up  so I quickly called the guys back up while holding back the tears :D I talked to John he said to send her back in and they would put overlays on the inside part of the tips, he said this should hold it! I guess my question is have any of you guys ever had a problem like this? Or had to have the overlays added on? If so did they hold up? I guess I'm just getting worried at this point, I know the guys in Nixa know what they're doing and I have total confidence in them. I just needed to vent a little cuz it seems like I have had nothing but problems with this bow :dunno: . I just really want it to work out cuz man this thing is one heck of a shooter!
If you are talking about the face side of the tips, I would ask if that is going to affect the bow's performance.
Is this a one piece bow or a TD?
Can you post some pictures of the delamination?
I had some overlays added to my PMA after accidentally blowing out a limb on it earlier this year. At a 31" draw, there is a lot of stress on a recurve limb, so when I got some 69# limbs to replace the 62# ones I blew out, I asked the Widow bows to strengthen the tips by adding overlays. They did it, it looks great, and I haven't had nary a problem.
By the way, the limb blew out because I accidentally dry-fired it when the nock pulled off the string while drawing, and I didn't realize it. Black Widow didn't do the overlays for free, but I'm almost sure they had tears in their eyes as I talked to them on the phone about my hard luck... :knothead:
