First of all happy veteran's day and thanks to all who serve and have served our country.

Would like to see pictures of the wildest most wickedly awesome veneers u have or have seen and a description of what kind of wood it is. If i were to get a new bow, this thread may assist me in picking the woods for it.

I'[m building a couple of bows right now with some of the prettiest wood I have ever seen. Its extremly rare black myrtle. Some of it is a combination of black and a bright yello and its really cool. No pics though.

Its nice to see some nice birdseye. I want to do some dyed birds eye one of these days but never seem to get around to it. It looks like ostrich skin to me.

My god! These are not bows, they are works of art!Bows like these would make me tread softly in the woods with them even though i know the clear glass over the wood is pretty tough.These bows bring another whole meaning to trad shooting. More than just a great shooting,handling bow, but also beauty and something to cuddle with in bed at night,lol.

Not as extreme as some of the veneers on this thread, but still not too shabby, and it's the best I have. I guess it's not technically veneers. This is curly walnut outer lams with bamboo cores.
