Hmmm, did you want to know HOW it works too?!?

Okay! Gordon shafts should be marked with some code like:
C-30
E-40
G-50
J-65
K-75

The characters are according to those used in the AMO standards to "complicate" the spine business even more (see AMO standards). But - fortunately - Gordon gave the max. poundage with the additional number right away - for 28" draw lenght.

Example:
AMO spine deflection from .52-.47" is marked G and will be good for 50#@28" - hence G-50
They work for a wider field of draw weight though. At least my K-75 do so ...

Thanks Falk..... I can remember glass way back when, but I was pretty young (between 5 and 10 yrs old). If it had a nock, feathers, and a point I would fling it outa my bow.... My brother didn't appreciate me shooting his glass shafts with Bear razorheads into the trunk of the cherry tree in the back yard but they didn't stick too deep.....

FALK

That about falls in line with the Godon shafts I have.  G + 50 and that is about where I am.

I also have FARBENGLAS shafts that look identical to Gordons, but hhey are marked "H".  I always thought that Herter's had their shafts made in Germany, but they sure look like Gordon shafts to me.

I think Gordon's made them for a lot of different manufactures put their own markings. I shot a lot of Bear Kodiaks when I was a youngun. I remember vividly how 2 or 3 out of every dozen would be crooked!  :) ....O.L.

Well hello Mr. Adcock

I did not realize you were from Roswell, NM.  I used to be the Purchasing Manager for Roswell, GA.  They are also getting known for their aliens, but not extra terrsetrial.

All the gordon and Herter's shafts I have are straight.  No problems with them.  I had some of the Bear Metrics years back if that is what you are referreing to.  Back in the day, my glass shaft of choice was always "MicroFlite".  Darned near indistructable unless you side slapped a tree.
